What to do now?
On acceptance on a quotation, Greener Heat require 14 days notice to produce CAD drawings; please ensure Greener Heat has up to date drawings. Only on receipt of a written order form PLUS your deposit of £500 + VAT (£587.50), will the UFH CAD drawing & pipe layout be produced.
Changes to CAD Pipe layout
Changes to the CAD layout incur additional time @ £30per hour. The quotation includes one x installation drawing, additional CAD drawings are £5.00 each plus VAT.
Preparation for Installation
The area must be prepared, swept clean, cleared & made ready for the installation team as detailed in our quotation Any delay due to the area not being ready or prepared, as specified in the quote, this will be duly invoiced £25 per hour per man. If an additional visits are required to complete the installation due to any delay on site, this will be duly invoiced on an hourly basis + travel time & costs. Please ensure there is adequate lighting during winter months. All goods must be paid for in advance of the commencement of installation.
Accidents & Damage to the pipes
During installation, the pipes are vulnerable when exposed, or when installing wooden floors - accidents do happen - don' t worry, special pipe connectors are available – just call us - Refer to the Installation manual on repair.
Installation Includes:-
- The placing and fixing of the UFH pipes into the insulation/concrete/reinforcement
- The placing of the manifolds, connecting of the pipes to the manifold
- The filling, pressurising & testing of the system with 4 Bar Air pressure
- Supply only of thermostatic room control – installation by electrician
- Full CAD Drawings including floor detail
- Comprehensive Installation manual with wiring schematics
- Heatpump: Electrical & plumbing subcontracted to others or by own plumber
Commissioning by Greener Heat Installation Excludes:-
- All plumbing and electrical connections
- Supply & installation of the insulation and reinforcement mesh
- Supply & installation of screed or biscuit
- Any pipework for the domestic hot & cold water supply to the boiler or manifolds
- Any wiring to & from boiler, to & from roomstats to the floor heating manifolds unless otherwise agreed
- Offloading & storage of UFH materials & insulation
- Builder/Joiners work, i.e holes in walls, notching & cutting away battens, making good ect.
- Any other source of heating, i.e radiators
- Delivery Charges – separate cost. Greener Heat to Commission – separate cost

Electrical Wiring for Hardwired System - First Fix done by Electrician
A professional wiring centre is provided, each box can take up to 6 x roomstats. To provide a wiring diagram, we must be aware of the type of boiler/ system being used, once you have decided on a boiler type, contact Greener Heat.
The system must be installed as detailed in the diagram to ensure the proper running of the UFH heating system. All cable runs by electrician and must be clearly labelled.
Should you wish other regulation, other than specified & designed by Greener Heat – please discuss this with us, to ensure the UFH system runs as designed by Greener Heat – however other regulation design & liability lies with that company
Boilers
Boiler installation is for the plumber. Full wiring & hydraulic diagrams are included within the Installation Manual
Plumbing
All pipework for the domestic hot & cold water supply to the boiler or manifolds is for the plumber
Heatpumps
Greener Heat are clearskies approved - reference no: 2142609
Grant offer letters must be in place for 7 days prior to the commencement of any works
All parts provided as per the Greener Heat specification
Plumbing connections by others as per the Installation manual provided
Final Electrical connections by Greener Heat – Cable runs by others as per instructions
Prior to Commissioning by Greener Heat, system to be flushed through, connected, ready to run & allow final check
Solar
All parts provided as per the Greener Heat specification
Plumbing connections by others as per the Installation manual provided
Electrical connections by electrician – Cable runs by others as per instructions

Call outs
If Greener Heat are advised of a fault regarding the running of a system, an appointment can be made to inspect and/or commission the system. You will be advised of these call out charges prior to the visit, a report will be issued and must be signed off by the client, where possible, the fault will remedied by Greener Heat on this visit. In the event of the fault being found in the equipment supplied by Greener Heat & falling within the warranty period, items will be replaced and no call out charges made. However if the fault is found to be of an electrical or plumbing nature, installed by others and not installed in accordance with Greener Heat instructions and schematics, Greener Heat shall duly raise an invoice for its time, travel &/or equipment required to correct the fault. Hourly rate @ £40 per hour + travel time @ £20 per hour
Guarantee
There is a 50 year guarantee on UFH Pipe, this covers any direct consequential damage for the first 10 years, the manifold has a 5 year guarantee, the pumps, valves. thermostats etc have the manufactures guarantee. The Greener Heat guarantee can be found within the Installation manual supplied. Heat pump parts and labour 2 years, additional Guarantee available please ask for quotation.
Interim Payments on long term or on going projects
Greener Heat may request interim payments for equipment supplied and/or work carried out. These requests are payable on demand and normal terms and conditions apply.
Non trade account payments
A proforma invoice will be issued to accompany the CAD drawing. All goods must be paid for prior to installation. Delayed payments may result in the delay of the provision of goods. NO RETENTION TO BE WITHELD UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Returned cheques will attract a surcharge of 15%. Any additional administration charges incurred by Greener Heat as a result of late payment will be passed on to the customer. All equipment supplied shall remain the property of Greener Heat until full payment is received, nor will any guarantees be implemented.
Returned Goods
Any returned goods are subject to a restocking fee and must be in their original condition and packaging. These will be purchased back by Greener Heat at 75% of the original cost.
