As suppliers of underfloor heating and renewable energy systems we are aware of the importance of energy conservation, not only for the impact on the environment but also spiralling costs.
Our company is currently experiencing a fast growth in the geothermal and solar market however this equipment is not always practical (but still possible) on development sites, therefore the use of oil and gas boilers are still commonplace.
It is already accepted that installing underfloor heating throughout a home is a cost effective and economic method of creating warmth and comfort but there is one area left which needs to be improved ...RADIATORS.
The idea behind 'Total Control Heating' is to minimise the consumption of heating fuel without any loss of comfort or efficiency.
Many new homes are still built using traditional radiator systems. Commonly a series of interconnecting copper or plastic pipes within the ceiling void are connected to radiators via thermostatic valves. Up until now this has been considered satisfactory but has always had POTENTIAL PROBLEMS. For example, any joints in the pipework are vunerable to LEAKAGE. TVRs are often difficult to set up and as they are mounted within 50mm from the radiator THEY DON'T GIVE ACCURATE CONTROL of the room temperature. Also they only operate when the heating system is switched on.
A system that gives each room individual control, with no inaccessible joints in the pipework. One that is quicker and easier to install than a conventional system.
