Projects
In years of experience behind us, and the installation of renewable heating systems and underfloor heating in a range of projects, we’ve installed heating systems in Community Centres, Barn conversions, commercial properties, self-builds, new housing estates, Eco Homes and Stately Manors. Take a look at some of the projects we have completed below:-
Tynrhyd Retreat, Devil’s Bridge.
This luxurious 5∗ star self-catering accommodation, opened in Autumn 2014, caters for large groups of up to 45. Situated near the scenic village of Devil’s Bridge and just 11 miles from the seaside town of Aberystwyth, the building and heating system is extremely energy efficient, creating a highly comfortable environment. Greenerheat are responsible for supplying and installing the underfloor heating, and a ETA Pe-K 90kW pellet boiler, catering for the heat and hot water demands. Comparing the renewable heating system and traditional oil heating system, Greenerheat are able to reduce the operation cost circa £2,000 per year. The customer can also acquire a RHI refund, given the amount of energy produced.

A traditional Public House set in the quaint Carmarthenshire village of Brechfa. The Forest Arms had been left derelict for several years, until sold to a private buyer. The property has been subject to a refurbishment project with the addition of an upgraded heating system. Greenerheat was responsible for replacing the existing oil boiler with a new ETA PE-K 50 pellet boiler, which caters sufficiently for the necessary heating demands, together with a buffer tank, pellet silo and new pump kits to complement it.
Myddfai Community Hall and Visitor Centre
Opened in June 2011 the Myddfai Centre is a state of the art, energy efficient building designed to serve the community and to attract visitors to the area to help support rural regeneration in Myddfai and the surrounding area. The building has a large auditorium shop, cafe, tourist information point and high quality interpretation materials about the history and heritage of “The Physicians of Myddfai”. The development and construction of the building, designed by local architects Huw Griffiths has become a destination of choice for many visitors and a great social hub for the community. It has won a raft of awards in recognition of its contribution to tourism, sustainability and community cohesion.
One of the key elements of the design and build process was to ensure that the building contained low impact energy systems and high insulation specification in order to reduce energy costs, and help with long term sustainability. GreenerHeat renewable energy specialists of Gorslas helped enormously in the design and high quality installation of a zoned ground source heating system which along with other energy systems in the building is proving to be a very efficient and worthwhile investment.
Rhosygilwen mansion is a peaceful and tranquil country retreat located near Cardigan in Pembrokeshire. It is a unique venue for business and social events alike and provides beautiful settings for weddings and family celebrations. A listed building, Rhosygilwen has a strong history within Pembrokeshire dating back many hundreds of years. They employ a rigid environmental policy and GreenerHeat were delighted to be involved in the design, supply and installation of an IDM Energie ground source heat pump to the property. This provides hot water to the kitchen and heating (via underfloor heating also supplied & installed by Greenerheat) to the beautiful dining/function room (as pictured).
Greenerheat continues to work closely with Rhosygilwen to assist with environmental factors and maintain some of their renewable technologies.
“Greener Heat supplied and installed our Ground Source Heat Pump here at Preseli Venture 5 star eco lodge and adventures on the Pembrokeshire Coast. Our lodge accommodates up to 40 people. The heat pump supplies full central heating throughout the lodge with radiators in the original old building and under-floor heating in the new build, and also all the hot water for showers for 10 bathrooms plus the catering kitchen.
The system works very well and reliably and has been up and running since 2008. After the initial installation, if there were any teething issues, GreenerHeat always responded immediately to fix the problem.
We have found Greenerheat to provide a very good, reliable service and they certainly care about doing a good job.”

“The heat pump is working very well, and seems pretty robust. We’ve had three winters and it’s been fine.
The setting up and adjusting of times and temperatures is really easy once you’re familiar with the interface.
I would never go back to a gas/oil boiler.”
