Heat Pumps
Air source heat pumps and ground source heat pumps are the 21st century answer to higher energy prices and reducing fossil fuel consumption. This renewable heating technology has been successfully installed throughout Europe over the past few decades. They are proven to reduce your energy costs while protecting the environment from harmful emissions. Heat pumps can generate all the heating you need for both domestic and large scale commercial projects in addition to providing 100% of your hot water requirements.
What is a heat pump?
A common question that is easy to over complicate. Heat pumps work by collecting residual heat from the environment and converting it into higher temperatures used for space and water heating. So energy that has spread across a large volume, in low temperatures, is concentrated into a smaller volume of higher temperatures. Heat pumps are available as ground source heat pumps which collect their residual heat from energy stored in the ground, or air source heat pumps that collect energy freely available from the ambient air.
IDM Heat Pumps
Not all Heat Pumps are the same with equal abilities. Like any available technology, as there are poor quality products on the market, there are also high quality counterparts. When purchasing a new technology for the first time, many individuals haven’t had the experience to distinguish between the two. Some consumers accidentally fall for cheap products with poor energy performance presented to them by well known household names or a smooth talking salesman. Poor quality heat pumps have a lower life expectancy and have far higher running costs.
IDM heat pumps are the BMW and Mercedes of the renewable heating industry. Their products are hand built in state of the art facilities deep in the Austrian Alps. The attention to detail that their highly skilled workforces lavish on their products results in unsurpassable quality and Teutonic efficiency.
Custom designing your system
Heat pumps are very sensitive to site specific conditions; the annual fluctuation in out door temperature, the solar gain of your property or even the soil conditions can all effect its performance. We approach every new project with a fresh perspective. We meticulously design quality systems, sizing them correctly to take into account all aspects of your building and how you live and work in it. We optimize our renewable heating systems based on maximizing performance and minimising running costs. A ‘one size fits all’ policy might work for oil and gas boilers, but for heat pumps, only precision designed systems will ensure you stay warm and comfortable, while your running costs are kept to a minimum.
