Solar Panels
Solar thermal systems are an easy and cost effective way of harnessing the free natural energy from the sun and reducing your energy bills. Panels can be fitted to roofs, external walls or mounted on the ground. The systems are robust and require little maintenance once installed. At Greener Heat we have looked at a variety of manufacturers and a various designs of collectors for solar thermal panels to ensure we only provide quality, high performing systems. Not only will you save money on your fuel bills, but you will save on the low maintenance.
How do Solar Thermal Collectors work?
Solar thermal collectors, also known as solar hot water panels, collect the free energy from the sun by heating an anti-freeze liquid stored in the panel which is then pumped to a heat exchanger in a thermal store (highly insulated water storage tank) where it’s heat is transferred to water which is then stored. This system works even on cloudy days with energy being absorbed from diffused radiation. Greener Heat’s solar panels are designed so the hot water tank is layered, and the hot water is injected in at the correct layer, this allows for a more responsive system and one that can utilise more from the sun’s energy. This system is optimized for energy performance thereby saving our customers even more on energy bills.
