Wall Heating

Wall heating systems are an effective alternative to underfloor heating. Retrofitting underfloor heating into an existing property can offer many problems such as digging up your floor, or increasing the floor level to accommodate the insulation, pipework and the screed. Wall heating, is a low temperature heating system like underfloor but built into a wall.

What is wall heating?

Wall heating, is a low temperature, large surface area heating distribution system. On the internal side of an external wall, insulation is added, then reflecting aluminum plates with groves for underfloor heating pipe. On top of this plasterboard is added ready for decoration. This offers the advantages of underfloor heating without the disruption.

Custom designing your system

We offer a full design service to ensure that your system, when installed, can provide all the heat you need and provides you with the control your require. The heating output of a system is controlled by the pipe ‘centres‘, i.e. how much pipe per sqm, too little pipe and the system won’t keep you warm, too much and you’ve wasted money. The system is controlled by thermostats operating ‘zones’. Too few thermostats, or too larger zones and you lose control over your heating system; reducing your comfort and increasing the running costs.
