What is wall heating?Wall heating, is a low temperature, large surface area heating distribution system. On the internal side of an external wall, insulation is added, then reflecting aluminum plates with groves for underfloor heating pipe. On top of this plasterboard is added ready for decoration. This offers the advantages of underfloor heating without the disruption.
There are many benefits of installing underfloor heating:
- Offers lower running temperatures and lower costs compare to a radiator heating system.
- Much easier to retrofit into an existing property than underfloor heating system.
- Heats up and responds quickly to temperature changes.
- Improves the thermal efficiency of the property by insulating the external walls.
- A great excuse to redecorate.
With all the advantages you can gain from wall heating, improving the thermal efficiency of the property and lowering heating costs, great care must be taken to avoid damaging the pipe, in particular when drilling or fixing to the wall.
